Dr. Pooria Shahin, DDS
After completing his undergraduate degree with honors from Emory University in Atlanta in just three years, Dr. Pooria Shahin attended Columbia University School of Dental Medicine. Graduating with honors, he received his doctorate in dental surgery in 2009. Dr. Shahin completed his Surgical/General Practice residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Since that time, he has managed and built Brooklyn Dental Spa. Dedicated to providing the finest quality dental care for the Brooklyn community and attaining very high levels of patient satisfaction, Dr. Shahin has seen his patient population grow tremendously. He looks forward to serving his loyal community for many years to come.

Finding a new dentist in Flatbush, Brooklyn was daunting due to mixed online reviews, many private-practice dentist groups not accepting new patients, and limited working hours for local dentists or dental schools. When I found Brooklyn Dentist, I booked an appointment on a Friday and was in the chair by Tuesday for a full check-up and cleaning—impressive! The office is new and welcoming, and the reception staff are kind and helpful. While there were no flashy scenic views or Hollywood-style before-and-after photos, the service spoke for itself. The doctor was gentle, thorough, and exceptionally kind. He treated me with respect, explained every step of the process, and delivered the best cleaning I've ever had. I was also equally impressed by his excellent chair-side manner. He was considerate, treated me as an equal, and genuinely wanted to ensure I received the care I needed without pushing unnecessary treatments. He was also mindful of my status as a graduate student without dental insurance. Though I didn’t need major dental work, I would have trusted his professional opinion completely. Overall, I left wondering why I hadn’t booked an appointment sooner. The prices are on par with other dental practices, but the care was exceptional. This isn't a flashy cosmetic dental office, but it is a place where you receive compassionate, professional, and kind care. I’m already looking forward to my next bi-annual cleaning in the fall.
Wow! I recently moved to Flatbush, and Dr. Shahin is fantastic! Even though I’m 20 and usually anxious about dental visits, Dr. Shahin and his staff helped ease my nerves.
